Let me show you how to judge the load cell good or bad

Load cell is an important part of the electronic balance, its performance directly affects the accuracy and stability of the electronic balance. Therefore, load cell sensor is very important to determine how good or bad the load cell is. Here are some common methods to test the performance of load cell:

tension sensors

1️⃣ Observe the appearance: first of all, you can judge the quality of the load cell by observing its appearance. The surface of a good load cell should be smooth and neat, without obvious damage or scratches. At the same time, check whether the wiring of the load cell is firm and the connecting wire is intact.

2️⃣ Zero Output Check: Under no-load condition, the output value of the load cell should be close to zero. If the output value is far away from the zero point, it means that the load cell is faulty or has a large error.

3️⃣ LINEARITY CHECK: In the loaded state, the output value of the load cell should be linear with the loaded quantity. If the output value is not linear with the loaded quantity, it means the load cell has non-linear error or failure.

4️⃣ Repeatability check: Measure the output value of the load cell several times under the same loading amount and observe its repeatability. If the output value fluctuates greatly, it means the load cell has stability problem or large error.

5️⃣ Sensitivity check: under a certain loading amount, measure the ratio of the change of the output value of the load cell to the change of the loading amount, i.e. sensitivity. If the sensitivity does not meet the requirements, it means that the sensor is faulty or the error is large.

6️⃣ Temperature stability check: under different temperature environment, measure the ratio of the change of output value of the load cell to the change of temperature, i.e. temperature stability. If the temperature stability does not meet the requirement, it means the load cell has stability problem or large error.

The above methods can be used to initially determine the performance of the load cell. If the above methods are unable to determine the sensor is good or bad, it is necessary to further more professional testing and calibration.
