S-type load cells, also known as S-beam load cells, are shaped like the letter "S" and are designed for applications that require the measurement of tension and compression forces. They have threaded holes or studs at each end for easy connection to the load under test.  Type S load cells are commonly used in industrial weighing applications such as tank and hopper weighing, force measurement in assembly lines, and testing and monitoring structural loads in bridges and buildings. They can be made from a variety of materials, such as alloy steel, stainless steel or aluminum, and are available in different measurement capabilities and accuracy levels to meet the specific needs of the application.

Miniature traction compression force transducer STM is made of stainless steel intended for push and pull force measurement. Small size traction force load cell STM offers 2kg / 5kg / 10kg / 20kg / 50kg five rated capacities with maximum 0.1% non-linearity of the full scale to choose from. Full-bridge configuration delivers 1.0/2.0mV/V sensitivity, amplified outputs are available on request provided by means of external load cell signal conditioners such as -5-5V, 0-10V, 4-20mA. M3/M6 metric threaded holes located on both sides of the load cell can be used to mount attachments such as load buttons, eye bolts, hooks to meet requirements of different applications in force detecting and auto processing sections.
